Value chain concept is connecting the actors along a chain and bringing goods and services to the end users through a complex and sequenced set of activities. Poor sesame producers are always struggling to gain market access because they lack knowledge of market requirement s. Poor information flow, lack of new agricultural technique and other barriers prevent small - scale producers from entering into the markets, or reduce the benefits gained by selling their product. The study was carried out to analyze sesame value chain interventions of a NGO in Dry Zone of Myanmar where the people are poor farmers who mainly grow sesame . Sesame value chain was developed and poverty alleviation impacts were achieved through technical and service support, information sharing and collaborative effort to upgrade farmers{u2019} capabilities and knowledge so that farmers can earn more income because of improved yield and better quality sesame in the market. Based on the findings and recommendation s to improve sesame value chain intervention , upgrading activities in production, marketing, and collaboration among chain partners will be offered
