Generally, this research study also provides useful guidelines for all project stakeholders involved in implementing international development (ID) projects. This research, at the beginning, stated overall rationale, problem statement, objectives, and scope of the research. After clearly stating on the purposes, the research went on to study literature, compared and found out a generic conceptual framework that could adapt on implementing ID Projects of Vietnam realistic environments. Major directions of research methodology and data analysis, purposed to find the critical success factors and success criteria those have most effects to ID project success, were chosen before going ahead with the pilot and official survey. Third, the official survey that intends to capture experience, opinion and assessment from key stakeholders from the study project group is a realistic examination for the generic framework. Next, the research has described Vietnam overview, current ID Projects situation in Viet Nam, and characteristics of studied projects group. Those ID Projects focus on projects implementations for rural development and environment in Viet Nam. The results from analyzing data collection would help to condense important factors and success criteria and produce a particular model that could harmonize and be adaptable to the specific Vietnam environments. The discussion of finding results played key roles on conversation and confirmation studied aspects of this research. Last, the conclusion and recommendations of the research could an contribute to success of international development projects implementing in Vietnam. The conclusion will have a general overview of target objectives of the research to identify whether the research reach its setting goats or not. The recommendations have generated from survey results that will show useful experiences for persons working on international development projects in Viet Nam, especially on sectors of rural development, energy and environment management. The recommendations also give continuous directions for the next research development. Finally, list of references and appendices that supply more detail data and information for the research would be attached at the end of the research.
