In this conjunction, further development of hand-held spinning disc electrostatic sprayer was carried out. Major focus was to develop a compact, efficient and reliable High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) for the electrostatic sprayer. The developed HVPS is able to deliver 3 kV de with an input of 6 V de. The power consumption is about 0.45 watt with an operating efficiency of 89 %. The overall dimensions of the HVPS are 7 cm x 5 cm x 4 cm and total cost is about US$ 6 . The electrical conductivities for Endosulphan, Monocrotophos and Fenvalerate all diluted with tap water (dilution factor of 1:3 .3, 1:25 and 1:10 respectively) were found to be nearly same as that of tap water which was 1.61 mmhos/cm. The presence of free ions in the tap water improved the electrical conductivity of spray solution thereby charge to mass ratio. This was found to be 4.92 mC/kg using Monocrotophos solution diluted with tap water for the developed sprayer.
