The class of combined flexural and torsional problems is considered. The element is degenerated from the three dimensional field equations, using certain assumptions justified for thin-walled sections, so that effects of warping restrained conditions can be fully accommodated. The nonlinear analysis is referred to the total Lagrangian configuration. The nonlinear equilibrium equation is solved by using the linearization by the Newton-Rapson iteration process.Various numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the versatility and the effectiveness of the element.
