The purpose of this study is to develop an English-Thai machine translation system based on the Integral Method in which semantic analysis, using an active dictionary, plays a major role. The system constructs a semantic representation for one specific area of natural language (a mathematics text) by using preference semantics. One of the unique features of the proposed system is that it implements the English-Thai machine translator on a microcomputer; PROLOG is used as the programming language.
