From this study, the efficiency of constructed wetland treatment plant in term of COD removal is 73%. Tracer study can be described the hydraulic characteristic of subsurface flow constructed wetland such as dead space, actual hydraulic retention time, and hydraulic efficiency. The study showed that the hydraulic efficiency of constructed wetland the amount of wastewater is 25% of designed capacity resulting some part of constructed wetland cell is not used which we called dead space. The hydraulic characteristic of wastewater flow in cell 1 is not starting from Inlet zone to Treatment zone and Outlet zone. However, the wastewater flows over into Outlet zone. The flow of wastewater from the distribution pipe is not consistency because of not good taking care during operation period. The volumes of dead space affected the treatment efficiency because it reduces the effective volume and shorten actual hydraulic retention time
