So, urgent development of the road is still requiring in order to address this purpose.Therefore, international funding sources like multilateral development are used to develop the road network especially for the road connecting international routes.Based on the funding sources, different types of contract managements are applied in the road constructions. This paper focus to study and analyz edifferent contract management practices applied in local project and international project in Myanmar. The concept of the contract management practices is studied from the literature and the practices are studied from the construction of international funded project {u2013} GMS EWEC EinduKawkareik Road Improvement Project and the construction of local project - Thabyuzayat-Three Pagoda Road Improvement section from 54.1km to 76.5km. From these studies, the contract management practices are analyzed and made the recommendation to be addressed to the noticed weaknesses.Moreover, the lesson learns from these contract management practices are summarized to be applied in the future projects.
