This research utilizes the concept of system analysis to study The ·Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) of relationships. as a complex system made up of many parts bound together by a variety The relation between AIT, as a system, and its environment is studied in such a way that how its operations are dependent upon the influenced by the environment is demonstrated. This requires the identification of objectives of AIT which are expected to contribute to satisfying the technological needs of Asia. Inputs and .outputs of AIT are, therefore, identified successively. Performance specifications and the kinds of constraints which hamper the doing process for both administrative and calcemic operations are studied Finally, this study-comes up with a system dynamics model which is an abstract representation of AIT to show how information, decisions, and policies are ·interrelated to influence the future structure of AIT. In addition, some operations research techniques are applied to determine optimal solutions for student faculty ratio, attrition rate, and number of textbooks ordered for students these models are expected to be useful in future planning.
