520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The pedestrian paths in Bangkok has been hardly trouble for many years ago even though pedestrian crash was not yet much amount if comparing with other Asia countries. While pedestrian sidewalks in Thailand would become underdeveloped by addressing more bicycle ways on pedestrian share - path, many countries are trying to build more bicycle lanes on the vehicular road, as such so me sample. Most of cases have been caused the planning and design process, may be construction process as well. Hence, the roadside environment of each location based on its condition with affecting to the different pedestrian characteristics. This study aimed to identify walking environment on the pedestrian path in Bangkok depended on data from the supply side which is the geometric path and its facility, and the demand side that is the pedestrians who were walking on those routes. The supply side referred to geometric pedestrian paths of both sidewalk and crosswalk by any factors such as sidewalk width and its separation, the number of obstructions, pedestrian flow rate, bicycle events, space at corner, crossing facilities, turning vehicles, and pedestrian delay. The results show that the bicycle events and number of obstructions of sidewalk as the best and worst term. And, on crosswalk the pedestrian delay and turning vehicles are the best and worst level, respectively . Questionnaire surveys with pedestrians were conducted as the demand side. Revealed preference (RP) and stated preference (SP) survey approaches, and conjoint analysis method were applied to find pedestrian and environmental characteristics with same supply side{u2018}s factors. The results show that the respondents considered the width and lateral separation on sidewalk and turning vehicles on crosswalk as the most importances. The least significant determination on sidewalk and crosswalk are pedestrian flow rate and crossing facilities, respectively. After the estimated coefficient from stated preference surveys were defined the utility values, level of services and total utilities of each route was combined by characteristics of geometric pedestrian paths and pedestrian preferences. The results show that the level of service almost based on the pedestrian preferences{u2018} utility. The sub objective, however, was determined the pedestrian characteristics and speed within a day {u2013} at morning with being vendor shops, and at afternoon without them. The results show that the pedestrians whether carried bag or not, did not affected to their speed, and who were using the mobile phone walked more quickly than other distraction one. Finally, it also found that pedestrian walking speed in the morning (1.20 m/s ) was lower than in the afternoon (1.29 m/s), and unimpeded pedestrians (1.34 m/s of a median speed) walked faster than impeded pedestrians with a median speed at 1.11 m/s. Those mean that walking environment was influenced to the pedestrian characteristic s and their speed as well.
