Summary, etc. Experimental data from the previous study [9] are analyzed to investigate the shear strength of prestressed concrete linear members without shear reinforcement. Analytical approach of investigating the behavior in shear of prestressed concrete beams without shear reinforcement is conducted using a finite element method where analytical mode ling for the concrete, steel reinforcement, bond between the concrete and the reinforcement, and stress transfer along crack are considered to be a plane stress problem. Several examples of singly reinforced concrete beams on simple supports with different effective restressing force and different diagonal cracking patterns are analyzed and results are presented for comparison and discussion. Shear crack is modeled as a single discrete crack a nd other cracks are modeled as smeared cracks. Forces transferred along the diagonal cracks are determined by applying models for both aggregate interlocking and tension softening of concrete. A non bond s lip model is also implemented. The depth of compression zone increases for beams increases in restressing force, which is considered to linear with be a reason of increase in beams. Opening and sliding displacements at shear crack are affected greatly by mode l s for stress transfer at crack a nd bond-slip, but the ultimate shear strength are not . Idealized shear crack pattern for discrete crack mode ling can change the ultimate shear strength when its location in longitudinal direction changes, but not when its location in vertical direction changes .
