520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This study analyzes in depth the relationship between human factors of Seafarers involved in oil theft and smuggling at sea and the potential ESG risks associated with these illegal activities. Through a case study of an oil shipping company, which occurred in 2018, this study examines the effects of working conditions, financial pressures, social and family pressures, organizational culture, compliance activities and corporate risk management on Seafarers{u2019} decisions to engage in illegal activities. The literature review integrates theories such as Enterprise Risk Management (RAT), Routine Activity Theory (RAT), Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) and the role of Psychopathy to analyze the underlying causes. The qualitative approach used in this project, which included focus group discussions and case study analysis, identified governance gaps in supervision, training, human factors and measures to prevent theft and smuggling. The findings highlighted the need to improve crew welfare, training, compliance monitoring, risk management and ethical awareness. The study also provided guidance for developing the ethic and compliance training manuals for shipping companies.
