Eng.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 2013 Summary: The research determines the blacksport locations established by ranking location with the Accident Point Weightage Method and Equivalent Property Damage Only Method. According to the blackspot ranking method, the rop four hazardous locations are mile 93, mile 193, mile 37 and mile 105 in ascending order. Factors affecting the occurrence of accident severity involved traffic characteristic and the road condition. This study is focustion on the Poisson regression, Negative Binomial regression with the independent variables to develop the accident model. The introductory approach of the Zero- inflated regression is applied on the study route. The result from analysis shows that accidents is depend on traffic volume, roadway width, curvature, grade, u turn median opening, the width of bridge, the location of barrier, side slope and median type.
