Sc.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 1988 Summary: For assessing acid deposition problem in Bangkok. measurement of precipitation pH were made from October to December 1987 at nine sampling stations. The measured pH of rainfall ranged from 4.8 to 7.3. Particulate were also collected at the same sampling stations during December 1987 to January 1988 for determining acidity and sulfate. The concentration of sulfate in the atmosphere was relatively high (from 26.0 to 48.0 ~g/m3). comparing with the value of Dorset. Ontario. Canada and high concentration of particulate sulfate was found near the roadside. But the acidity in particulates was in the normal range (from 5.2 to 9.4 pg/m3). Emission of S02 and NO. of Bangkok was also estimated. The value comparatively high.
