TextSeries: Asian Institute of Technology. Thesis ; no. IE-87-14Publication details: Bangkok : Asian Institute of Technology, 1987Description: 60 pSubject(s): Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 1987 Summary: The water quality management probJem under an uncertain environment is considered in this study. A chance constrained model for multi-site river system is const ructed, where all the river flow and river parameters including river temperature are considered to be random variables. An solution method for a general C.C . P. model, which can be applied to other problems as weJJ, is proposed. A modification o f a method proposed by Ellis is also made based on the proposed method. A numerical example is provided in order to illustrate and clarify the optimization model and its solution methods, and the proposed method is found to provide a good solution.
