Sc.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 2023 Summary: The emission of carbon is increasing in major cosmopolitan cities due to various factors such as supply chain activities. Hence, a comparative study is needed to explore the challenges and opportunities of e-mobility for decarbonizing the supply chain in different parts of the world, such as Thailand and France. Decarbonization of the supply chain involves reducing emissions in the entire process of producing and delivering a product or service. The research objective is to conduct a comparative analysis of the impact of e-mobility on the decarbonization of the supply chain in Thailand and France. This study uses a qualitative research method, specifically a case study approach, and relies on secondary data. Both countries have unique strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the supply chain. However, their specific circumstances and challenges are different, and their approaches to addressing these challenges will also vary. One common strategy for both nations is to increase public education and awareness campaigns to promote the benefits of EVs and their role in reducing carbon emissions. Collaboration with other countries and stakeholders is also recommended to establish international standards for EVs and charging infrastructure to ensure interoperability and global adoption.
