The duplicated sands were then analyzed by the method of sieve analysis. The dimensionless sediment transport intensity ØT and the dimensionless shear intensity parameter |' were calculated using Einstein's method as based on sieve and VA-tube tests. Curves relating ØT and |' were then plotted. For 0.19 mm sand the ØT - |' curves indicate no signi- ficant change. However, the ØT - |' curves of 0.33 mm sand show an appreciable error if the calculations are performed on different size distribution curves.
