Thesis ; no. 1067Publication details: Bangkok : Asian Institute of Technology, 1978Description: 54 pSubject(s): Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Eng.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 1978 Summary: Effects of a sinusoidal velocity variation on clay concentration in two-dimensional f low field are the major subject of this thesis. Two un-steady state mathematical models are developed to determine the time variation of clay concentration. With proper parameters obtained from the flume test for a certain fine sediment, these analytical model s can be used as a predictor of clay concentration in estuary. This research will be useful at l east in the understanding of sediment transport in an estuary al though an actual estuary is really complex.
