Two un-steady state mathematical models are developed to determine the time variation of clay concentration. With proper parameters obtained from the flume test for a certain fine sediment, these analytical model s can be used as a predictor of clay concentration in estuary. This research will be useful at l east in the understanding of sediment transport in an estuary al though an actual estuary is really complex.
