A well designed, well implemented and fully managed ISO 9000 quality system not only assure the efficient quality management system but also provide base for TQM, that guarantee the high quality of product or service. Majority of ISO 9000 registered companies does not compliance regularly to all ISO 9000 requirements. The research is based on real case study of problems encountered in multinational Electrical Equipment Company located in Thailand. Compliance of ISO 9000 requirements is critically analyzed and benchmarking study of its documents system is done with reference to documents of same nature factory under the same mother Company, located at Karachi, Pakistan. A generic TQM frame is developed by considering ISO 9000 as a base. Selection of area for initial improvement is made by, widely used qualitative decision making technique, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Guidelines for future continuous improvement are made in selected process of Purchasing Incoming Goods and Storage (PIS) section. Deeming's Circle (PDCA) approach is used to for continuos improvement in Store and Material Planing processes of PIS section. The study analyze the practical technical problems of manufacturing and functional processes, affecting quality of out put in the company, related aspects of ISO 9000, which fail to contribute. And on the basis of analysis, make suggestions for improvement of quality system and quality of out put, as a part ofTQM, using TQM tools and techniques.
