Data needs are different for senior executives and for officers and managers of the credit operation department, the collateral valuation department, and the credit (benefits) department. The bank's existing collateral databases, even if integrated, cannot fully meet these needs. The thesis therefore proposes conceptual models for two alternative courses of action: The bank could build a data warehouse and EIS on the basis of a new operational database for collateral. Or it could construct these systems on the basis of collateral databases already in use. For both alternatives, the thesis details steps for converting operational data for use in the warehouse and EIS. The prototype EIS for senior executives supports asset confiscation plans.
