It would be very difficult for a company to choose the most efficient way to visit many customers just by looking at a map. Consequently, the communication time spent between the dispatcher and the driver for travel directions and routing are too long. In this study a computer system was developed to solve the resulting optimization problem based on the simple phased approach, which is a Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) by LINGO to determine a set of individual routes for the distributed vehicle. The computer system is user-friendly and consists of several Visual Basic programs while the Geographical Information System (GIS) is incorporated to facilitate output interface. In addition, the GIS also contain the database system to assist the dispatcher to get the shortest route and to easily locate the customers location. Finally, Developed VRP Program performance is tested to compare results with previous data and the local driver for motorcycle routing problems in Bangkok. It was concluded that the Developed VRP Program presented high performance.
