This research developed the computerized audit package called "Road Safety Audit Decision Support System (RSADSS)" to be a supplementary tool to conduct the road safety audit for improving road safety situation in Thailand. RSADSS integrates several significant components related to road safety audit process into a single computerized system. Road safety audit checklists system for various types of roads are developed and presented through a powerful user-friendly interface with multimedia integration as "Computerized Checklists" in RSADSS. Flexible capabilities for responding a set of questions in the relevant checklists as well as manipulating the corresponded audit answers and comments are also provided in the developed audit package. A systematic procedure for prioritizing risk of safety problems is developed and incorporated into RSADSS in order to provide consistent decision to mitigate or control the significant problems from road safety audit. In addition, the lists of possible countermeasures with respect to audit findings are presented to assist a user to make recommendations for mitigating road safety problems. The application of the developed package is demonstrated through an actual road safety audit of the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway.
