This study seeks to answer this problem by examining knowledge management processes in communication companies in Thailand. The main focus is on assessing the use of knowledge management, surveying knowledge management activities, and presenting a process model of knowledge management existing in such companies. First, a preliminary survey was conducted in order to find out about the companies that have used knowledge management programs by using Knowledge Management Assessment Tool (KMAT). Then knowledge management in each company was compared. Using this information, a process model of knowledge management was developed. The final results show that there is no company that has obvious strategies about knowledge management, and knowledge management of the studied companies exists in the form of human resource management. Though the resultant model is not a complete one, it can provide the firms that are interested in applying knowledge management in their organizations with guideli nes about what should be done. To make this model more complete, the "Measurement of Progress and Reassessment" stage is recommended to be included in this model.
