Baby.milk was used as substrates for microorganism with the expected concentrations of 1000, 500 and 200 mg /L as COD basis. The COD loading rates were 0.5, 0.25 and 0.1 kg/m3.d with HRT of 40 hours. Removal efficiency of 90% to 96% with the effluent COD of 20 mg/L can be achieved from influent COD as low as 200 mgCOD/L. Due to the removal results from accumulation or entrappment of substrates in the reactor, so only treatment ability of influent COD of 1000 and 500 mgCOD/L have been accepted if the actual stabilization and methane conversion are taken into account and consequently, the removal efficiency and percent methane conversion increase when the influent COD concentration increases. Lipids are not completely degraded to methane and only accumulate inside the reactors and its removal aren't much different by changing of of influent COD concentration.
