In this study we find that for the same number of pulses the parallel extended fiber optic ladder network generates larger number of useful codes than the ladder network and consumes less power than the parallel delay lines. The Sequence Substitute Keying (SSK) scheme using one encoder/decoder is also introduced. It is found that the performance of SSK scheme is worse than the On Off Keying (OOK) scheme.
