Since many factors influence the cost of canal lining such as amount of seepage losses, type of canal lining used, and maintenance and operation of canal, discussion on these items is included in this thesis. The graphs are developed in such way that they can be used as guide line in order to make comparison between unlined canals and several types of lined canals with the same discharge capacity.
