  <abstract>This study is aimed at understanding the properties of potential core materials for The Lower Quae Yai Dam. Experimentation has been conducted to discuss the required parameters, the test procedures, the problems occurred with the tests, discussion on the results, and conclusions. At last, the tested data and expected values are very coincident. Besides, the dam core is recommended to be compacted on wet side.</abstract>
