This research analyses the different performances of 3G,LTE and WiMAX networks to indicate which is more suitable in which kind of environments. Firstly, each technology is studied in detail such as the network architecture, the system features and the protocol stacks. Due to this study, the similar features of these technologies are realized. They are either the logical features, for example the hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) and adaptive modulation and coding (AMC), or the physical features like the multiple access, the antenna advanced systems, and mobility management. These factors will be affected to the coverage and capacity of each network. Their effect is expressed over the simulations from published papers. The results of those simulations are analyzed to show how they are different.Due to the analysis those results, using these technologies can be known. They can either cooperate together to complement their disadvantages or improve their benefits in the particular environment or they can operate individual in the certain area.
