Since the date ofpromulgation ofForeign Investment Law of Vietnam in 1987, 470 joint ventures have been established of which 21.8% are tourism joint ventures. Some of them, especially tourismjoint ventures have already realizedprofits and continue to peiform efficiently. Vietnamese Investment Law has been considered one ofthe most open-laws in Asia.
