Soil-cement blocks were cast in a CINVA-Ram machine. The effect of soil properties, moisture content, cement concentration, compacting pressure, time of curing, and method of curing on the compressive strength, durability, and moisture absorption of the soil-cement blocks were studied. Results showed that the response to cement stabilization of soil blocks made from the two soils was excellent. Criteria were established to evaluate the compressive strength, durability, and moisture absorption of the soil-cement blocks. To satisfy these criteria, Hua Hin soil, which had a higher activity required a greater amount of cement.10aSoils10aSoil cement0 aChai Muktabhant, eChairperson1 aMackey, Robert D., eExamination Committee1 aMoh, Za-Chieh, eExamination Committee2 aAsian Institute of Technology.tThesis ;vno. 217
