Online discussion forums are popular resource for finding solutions for various problems. Solutions are found in the repositories of forums and their automated extraction is an important task. People are interested only in those forums which might contain answers to their problems. Effective techniques for mining forums can significantly reduce searching and navigation time to find a solution. However, mining of knowledge from online discussion forums is not an easy task. The goal of this research is to find the appropriate discussion thread from forum which was answered. A method is proposed to find the answered thread in a forum. To achieve this goal, question post is detected first and then the thread is classified as answered or unanswered by tracing satisfaction of the user. Finally, the post which contains solution is predicted from the answered threads.
