With the development of robotics engineering, the enthusiasm towards the sports playing robots is increased. Many researches are done of this interesting field and an integral part of this field of research is basketball playing robots. This report will present a robotic solution to the game of basketball where a robot will attempt to perform the shot of a human playing the game. The key features of this project will be hoop detection using image processing and PID speed controlling. Mechanical design and the programming using arduino and visual basics are the main key factors to make a successful shoot in to the hoop.
