  <abstract>Petroleum is the main type of primary energy in China and also biggest  single source of foreign exchange earning. To achieve a balance between exports  and domestic demand is the main objective of the country's oil industry. It is  an important taslc to determine right national oil export policy  This study deals with the China's petroleum export policies. Our discussion  focus on two issuess:  First: The current status of China's petroleum industry, including reserves,  capacity of production, domestic oil consumption, petroleum export and downstream  industry.  Second: The formulation of petroleum export policies which pursued at  international trade balance, satisfying domestic oil demand and optimal social  and economic benefit. Applying method determines priorities of the strategies,  sub strategies and the policies in order to implement the desired objective. </abstract>
