The sector is the biggest sector in Thai GDP (Gross Domestic Product). It represented almost 40 percent of the Thai GDP in 2006. In addition, it grew at a very high rate as 39.37 percent in 2006. Within manufacturing sector, every manufacturer strives to improve their performance in many ways. One of the ways to meet customer satisfaction is to improve their quality level by using the appropriate Quality Management System. Since there are many Quality Management Systems available, this research focused on two particular Quality Management Systems which are TPM and Six Sigma. The case studies of two manufacturing companies which adopted these two Quality Management Systems were analyzed. As different manufacturers adopted different Quality Management Systems, there would be a number of factors which led the organizations to adopt a particular Quality Management System. Hence, the research studied on analyzing the contextual factors influencing the organizations to adopt a particular Quality Management System. Once each company adopted the particular Quality Management System, the ways each company implemented the particular Quality Management System could be the same as the theoretical practice or modified to suit their working environment. Thus, the research intended to analyze the processes followed by the company in implementing the selected Quality Management System and any modification due to the implementation of the systems.
