CBFRM emphasized in the role of local fisheries communitiesin order to respond to climate change{u2019}s effects, Fisheries Associations -thelocal organizationshave played an important role in the CBFRM implementation process in coastal area. This researchbased on several methods like:interviews, group discussions and key informant interviews, documentarys, review related documentstoexaminetheclimate change situation in study areas, it also analyse the implementation of CBFRMto adapt to the effects of climate change. This study also evaluatedthe level of awareness and adaptation of local community to effects of climate change through implementation of CBFRM.This research results showthat there are manifestaions of climate change occurrence in Tam Giang{u2013}Cau Hai lagoon, which includes: Increasing number and intensivestorms, extreme temperature, floods and sea level rise. Climate change has strongly affectedthe livelihoods of local fishery communities and also natural fishery resources in study areas. In this context, CBFRM implemented in Quang An and Huong Phong communes in 2006 as a good solution for communities and local government in lagoon fishery resources management and climate change adaptation. The local communities appreciated the contribution of CBFRM to the maintainance and stability of their livelihood and lagoon ecosystem in the context of climate change. 0aFishery resourceszVietnamzThua Thien Hue 0aClimatic changeszVietnamzThua Thien Hue1 aShrestha, Rajendra Prasad,eChairperson1 aShivakoti, Ganesh P.,eExamination Committee1 aGrunbuhel, Clemens,eExamination Committee2 aHUA,eScholarship donor2 aAIT Fellowship,eScholarship donor2 aFord Foundation,eScholarship donor2 aHUAF,eScholarship donor2 aAsian Institute of Technology.tThesis ;vno.
