Since one of the objectives in establishing an industrial estate in the developing countries is the promotion of small scale industry, the existing characteristics of the small-scale industries in the three countries were also included in the preliminary phase of the study. To give a comparative picture of the industrial estates of the three countries, their location-wise statues, types, size and sponsorship of industrial estates were studied and presented in a tabular format.
