A comparative study is carried out to examine the behavior of different structural systems under seismic loads and wind loading in medium rise buildings. The structural systems analyzed in the case study include Moment resisting Frame with shear wall, Shear wall with Flat plate and Outrigger system with shear wall .The structures are analysis and Modelled in commercial software ETabs. Response spectrum analysis is carried out for seismic load and linear static analysis is carried out for wind load. The consideration were made according to ASCE 7-10.The design of section members were made according to ACI 318-14. The effectiveness of Wall-Frame structure has been analyzed by varying the location of shear walls while Outrigger is analyzed by altering the different location in different cases. The parameters considered for analyzing the structural response of structural systems subjected to seismic loads and wind loading are lateral drift, base shear force and structural time period, Displacement, Shear force on core and Moment on core.
