Actual solar cookers of the two types were designed, fab1icated, and tested in a solar simulator. A compaiison of the theoretical and experimental results has been done on the basis of certain figures of merit. It has been found that the Double Glass AIT type cooker gives a higher first figure merit because of its higher stagnation temperature and the Oven type solaiĀ· cooker gives a higher second figure of merit because of its shorter cooking duration. 0aSolar energy research1 aExell, R.
