Various mathematical models are developed by different authors to guide engineers in the calculation and selection of the parameters involved and of the dimensions of the water treatment unit operations. Using these models, the performance of a given unit operation can be predicted. In the present study, the following models were used to predict the performance of flocculation, sedimentation and filtration, respectively. Boadway's Flocculation Model Camp's Sedimentation Model O'Melia-Ali's Filtration Model Suitable ranges of values of the parameters used in individual models are used in integral water treatment model to select the most techno-econo- mic solution.
