Farmer focused research has been to identify differences in irrigation constrains limiting wheat yield watercourses. conducted on wheat crop in order practices, crop production and at improved and unimproved For this study, two improved and two unimproved watercourses were selected. Irrigation farming was studied in farmers 1 field with respect to stratification of the selected watercourses by middle and tail. Data was collected through observations and farmers interviews on specific wheat fields. A sample of three to five 1m x 1m plots located randomly in the field were harvested and threshed to estimate the yields. The results indicate that there is no differences in method of irrigation and number of irrigations applied to wheat crop on improved and unimproved watercourses. Quant analysis of farmers yield shows that the main factors responsible for limiting the yields are - late sowing, application of low dose of fertilizer and use of non recommended variety. Large size of culturable commanded area and unimproved status of watercourse are also yield reducing factors in this area.
