Since Myanmar is enriched with hydropower resources, sustainable hydropower development will be long term solution for cheaper price and greener energy. Construction of hydropower dams for Myanmar is important sector to solve power requirement problems. A case study of Yeywa hydropower project Roller Compacted Concrete dam construction management was the one important construction work in Myanmar and got various studies and new technologies of roller compacted concrete dam construction management for Myanmar engineers. (790)MW Yeywa hydropower project was the first RCC dam construction proj ect in Myanmar and the largest mass amount of concrete (2.5) million m ' of RCC concrete and (1.1 )million rrr' CVC concrete used.- it was built with (5) steps of construction method and occurred many problems during RCC dam construction duration. Among them, segregation problems and batching plant & placement problems occurred mostly. Preventions in all steps made systematically according to consultant guide line. Improvement of quality control checks also done by contractors and owner (DHPI) in all steps.
