This Research concern s mainly the collection, compilation , analysis a nd evaluation of geotechnical data o n soft soil clay obtained from the result. of laboratory and field tests of soil samples and different site locations in Red River Delta in Hanoi, Vietnam. The laboratory tests performed were as follows physical properties test, index test, odometer test, and direct shear test In addition, three types of in - situ tests were carried out, namely : Dutch cone penetration tests , field vane shear tests, and pressure meter tests. The empirical and theoretical probability distribution were investigated as well as the mean and variance properties as ).:.>art of the data analysis. The correlation between cone pen e t ration parameters and with other engineering properties obtained from laboratory test. and field tests have been mad e. The correlation obtained in this research work have been compared with t h e results of past. :investigations on soft. Bangkok clay. It is conclude d that. the soil parameters a nd correlation factors obtained in these study can be used in the evaluation of design soil parameters f o r soft silty clay ln t h e Red River Delta of Han oi, Vietnam .
