Micro-hydro power is one of these sources of energy. This study indicates advantage of micro-hydro power, especially the lowest scale family-sizes, when compared to diesel power plants and using two alternatives of investment to find the most effective one. The cost-benefit analyses have been presented by taking one village where is a famous on traditional silk-dress production as a case study including the environmental impact assessment within two northern provinces of Lao PDR.
