The daily rainfall data of 12 raingauge stations in Bicol river basin, southern Luzon, Philippines and 65 well-documented cyclones of recent years (1970-1972) crossing the Philippines are examined and analyzed in this study. The distribution of cyclonic rainfall intensity over a region is mostly affected by the pressure drop at the center of the cyclones and radial distance far from it. The results of the analysis showed a linear relationship between the rainfall intensity and the radial distance, and the maximum cyclonic rainfall intensity was found as a function of pressure drop with a power of 3/2. The shorter period of 6-hr and 3-hr interval rainfall intensity in some raingauge stations in Philippines are also used in analysis to compare with the one in Bicol river basin.
