By using the panel data on 533 publicly-traded comp anies in Thailand stock exchanges on 1,266 observations from 2003 to 2007, the resear ch examine the relashionship between degree of family ownership, ownership struc ture and effects of family and external CEOs to the firm performance. The paper shows that the increase in the degree of the family ownership, the greater firm performance.
