Moreover, to have a more practical view, two real building cases will be investigated in this study to understand about aerodynamic interference effects of surrounding buildings on the principle buildings having complex geometry and vibration characteristics (3D coupled modes). The results show that the 3D coupling analysis slightly influences responses of the first building having lowcoupled effects, but it significantly affects responses of the second building having highcoupled effects. The interfering effects on the buildings{u2019} responses such as displacements and accelerations are investigated by computing interference factors (IF). The shielding, channeling effects and vortex-shedding phenomenon also occur due to the presence of interfering building(s). The shielding and vortex-shedding phenomena have stronger effects on responses of the first building.
