The objectives are to develop and apply inventory models and methodologies in order to minimize inventory costs and loss of customers for the company. There are three inventory control policies considered in this study: (r,Q), (s,S) and (R,T) policies. The optimal control policies and simulation approach are used for analysis. The simulation models are built in order to study the behavior of system and evaluate in various strategies before applying in the real life situation. Design of experiment is used to find out which of possibly many parameters have the greatest effect on a performance measure, or which set of model specifications appears to lead to optimal performance. The results of simulation are compared to determine the best inventory control policy on the basis of the lowest total inventory costs, the convenient to use in the real life situation and the lowest loss of customers. Finally, on the basis of the analysis for each inventory control policy show that (r,Q) policy is the best inventory control policy for this case study.10aInventory control1 aShanker, Kripa,eChairperson0 aVoratas Kachitvichyanukul,eExamination Committee1 aHasin, M.
