A distributed expert system consists of a number of expert systems sharing their knowledge to solve a common set of problems . An opinion or a solution suggested by a distributed expert system is obtained by aggregating opinions of member expert systems which may contain some uncertainty due to the in complete ness of avail able information Based on the theories of fuzzy sets and Dempster-Shafer , this study lakes an axiomatic approach in investigating the properties of various operators used to aggregate such un certain options. A set of axioms together with their interpretations are first given. Then, the operators are defined and their properties investigated and summarized in the form of theorems .
