  <abstract>A drainage and wastewater. treatment strategy is proposed for an area  from the Rangsit Township up to Klong Bangkhan. All data on the climate,  ground water, soil, irrigation water, and existing sewerage and drainage  system are collected. Engineering and economic comparison design criteria  are set and construction and 0 &amp; M cost curves for the system facilities  are prepared.  On site treatment and alternatives of wastewater treatment and conveyor  system have been compared by considering the effect of land cost, number of  lifting pumping station, type of treatment plant and the interest rate. A  separate system is proposed in which rainwater is conveyed into the nearest  water course and domestic and industrial wastewaters are conveyed to treatment plants. Open channels behind the factories are proposed to be used as  a conveyor system. Alternative III in which six stabilization ponds are  used, in order to avoid excessive pumping are found to be the most suitable  solution for the master plan area.  For the economic comparison, besides the land costs, the proposed alternative III has all other costs lower than those of onsite treatment plants.</abstract>
