  <abstract>This work deals with the error estimation for technol ogical  substitution models. By the use of actual data, errors have been  calculated for the Floyd, Fisher-Pry, Blackman and Generalized models. A relationship is found, as to the manner in which error varies due to changes in forecasting horizon. From the result, conclusions about  relative efficiency of the four models are also presented.</abstract>
