In order to simulate the bottom topography changes, the mathematical models are used with the representative wave data inputs. The models used in this study are: RCPWave model developed by Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC) in 1986; wave-induced current model presented by Tuong (1999); sediment transport model presented by Madsen and Wood (1998); and morphology model presented by Tuong (1999). The important data used in this study are the wave data recorded by the National Research Council of Thailand and survey data of bed elevation by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand. The wave data are analyzed to get monthly and annual representative deepwater waves. The models and representative deepwater waves are used to calculate bed elevation changes both in the western and eastern sides of Map Ta Phut port. A comparison is made between computed bed elevation change with field survey data from April 1999 to October 1999. Obtain results show the good agreement in the western side and beyond the shadow area in the eastern side, where wave diffraction is negligible. Inside the shadow area of eastern side the computed waves and bed elevation changes are too small compared with the survey data UR - http://203.159.5.9/ait-thesis/detail.php?q=B06679 ER -
